CrossCulture programme
The CrossCulture programme is aimed at committed people between the ages of 23 and 45 who work in socially relevant institutions and organisations. The programme participants come mainly from Islamic countries and work in a host organisation in Germany. Interested individuals from Germany can also apply to work in an organisation in one of the Islamic countries. Prerequisites for participation are a good knowledge of English and intensive integration into an organisation in the home country.
The international cultural volunteer service of the German Commission for UNESCO offers young people from Germany aged 18 through 26 the opportunity to get involved in Germany's foreign culture and education policy for the duration of six or twelve months. All volunteers are financially supported and accompanied by seminars - this way kulturweit is open to all young people!
“Raus von zu Haus” is a platform of the International Youth Service of the Federal Republic of Germany, which lists opportunities for international youth encounters, school exchanges, voluntary services and international encounters.
The portal for global commitment provides information on different types of voluntary service and other services, on the prerequisites for participating in a project abroad and on the services provided by voluntary services, development services and other specialist development cooperation services.
The Pedagogical Exchange Service (PAD) is the sponsor of the initiative of the Federal Foreign Office “Schulen: Partner der Zukunft – PASCH”. Virtual exchange and personal encounters between pupils from grade 5 onwards are supported.
The Internationaler Jugendfreiwilligendienst (IJFD) is the international volunteer service of the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs. The work generally takes place in the social or ecological sector as well as in peace and reconciliation work.
