AGYI conference in Tanzania strengthens civil society partnerships

AGYI Workshop on monitoring and evaluation

Bonn, 30 April 2018. How can AGYI partner organisations monitor and evaluate their activities? Concrete answers were given in a three-day workshop on monitoring and evaluating the AGYI's goals, which took place in Berlin from 25 to 27 April 2018.

New website of weltwärts Exchange Projects

Bonn, 1 April 2018. In January 2018 the new website of weltwärts Exchange Projects went online. Weltwärts Exchange Projects supports groups of young people from Germany and the Global South - especially from African countries - who are jointly realising a project on one of the 17 goals for sustainable development. Since April, the website is also available in English and French.

High demand of the African-German Youth Initiative

Bonn, 16 January 2018. From 99 to 511 first consultations: the demand for the services offered by the African- German Youth Initiative (AGYI) rose rapidly within one year from 2016 to 2017, according to the annual statistics compiled by Engagement Global's Information Desk on Civic Engagement.

Berlin, 8 November 2017. At the International Evaluation Conference of the ENSA Programme on "School Exchange Now & Then - 2030 and Beyond", held in Berlin, the participating teachers and development stakeholders discussed common visions of the future in international school exchanges.

Redefining Partnership: AGYI Forum held in Tanzania

Dar es Salaam, 3 November 2017. “Not all partners have to make the same kind of contribution. It is more important that all partners contribute in a way that is according to their capacities”, said Erick Crispin from the Tanzania Youth Coalition on the AGYI Forum in in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Bonn/Potsdam, 6 September 2017. The one-thousandth international volunteer, Della Bii-Mai from Cameroon, started her voluntary service in Potsdam with the South-North Exchange of Bread for the World and weltwärts on September 4, 2017.

Bonn, 4 August 2017. From July 24 to 26, 2017 the third AGYI Stakeholder Workshop took place in South Africa. About 40 participants from several African countries and from Germany got in touch and discussed their experiences with youth exchanges between Germany and South Africa.

Bonn, 11 May 2017. Young talents from all over the world, between the ages of 10 and 25, are invited to engage musically in global issues and to submit their self-composed songs to ONE WORLD by 20 June 2017.
