Preparatory meeting Benin-Matching

Bonn, 6th July 2019. On 6th July 2019 17 organisations participate at the preparatory workshop for a partner matching in Benin. The partner machting is organised by the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Réseau AGYI Bénin in Benin.

Call for applications! Autumn School 2019 on E-Waste and the Circular Economy

Bonn, 18th June 2019. The Autumn School for Sustainable Entrepreneurship is an annual program for young social entrepreneurs from African countries and Germany. It will take place from 1st to 5th November 2019 in Accra, Ghana.

Bonn/Saarbrücken, 29th May 2019. Interested associations, teachers and committed individuals were able to learn more about youth encounters at the Development Policy Network in Saarland (Netzwerk Entwicklungspolitik im Saarland).

European-African Conference

Bonn, 6th May 2019. The contribution of international youth exchange to transnational solidarity in a globalised world was the major theme of the AGYI's first European-African Conference held from 6 to 8 May 2019 in Bonn.

Quality in voluntary service and youth exchange

Bonn, 28 March 2019. From 25 to 28 March 2019, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Beninese office for youth volunteer services, Office Béninois des Services de Volontariat des Jeunes (OBSVJ), hosted a workshop on quality management in voluntary service and youth exchange.

AU-EU Youth Cooperation Hub

Bonn, 13th March 2019. On 29th October 2018, the African-Union –European Union “Youth Cooperation Hub” was founded in Addis Abeba (Ethiopia) to strengthen collaborations between young people from Africa and Europe.

AGYI Engagement Global Sounding Group Meeting

Bonn, 13th March 2019. The African-German Youth Initiative (AGYI) is building on existing Engagement Global youth initiatives. The Sounding Group was created withing the coordinating unit of the AGYI in order to ensure that the perspectives of German civil society actors are incorporated in implementation of AGYI activities.

Active members of German-Beninese partnerships network and gather information

Bonn, 9th March 2019. 14 active participants from 12 associations and German-Beninese partnerships exchanged information about their activities on 9 March and found out more about German-Beninese youth exchange and volunteer work.

New network strengthens AGYI in Benin

Bonn, 22. November 2018. Since the end of September 2018, a new network of civil society stakeholders has started its work on shaping the African German Youth Initiative (AGYI) in Benin.  At the network meeting from 24 to 28 September 2018, the first steps towards a viable network structure were taken.

Thematic Forum on Global Learning

Bonn, 3 September 2018. The second Thematic Forum on Global Learning took place from 27 to 29 August 2018 in Johannesburg, South Africa. In various projects on the topic of sustainability, the participants learned about new methods of global learning and used the meeting for networking.
