CHAT between WORLDS has released new flyers for interested people in countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. With the new flyers - now available in English, French and Spanish- the program CHAT between WORLDS becomes accessible for more people. The flyers explain in an easy way to understand how individuals, school classes and youth groups can participate in CHAT between WORLDS projects.
CHAT between WORLDS combines global learning with digital media. The program addresses the perspectives of various target groups living in Asia, Africa or Latin America: School classes and individuals can exchange experiences with students in Germany through online conferences or video messages. That way, CHAT between WORLDS overcomes geographical distances and offers the opportunity for authentic and personal encounters. School classes of all school types with students from the age of 10 can take part.
The motto of CHAT between WORLD is "talking to each other rather than about each other". The CHAT between WORLDS projects deal with global topics present in the everyday life of the participants. Accompanied by qualified trainers, international connections and global cooperation can be directly experienced. This way, global challenges such as climate change, sustainable consumption, and migration can be discussed and processed together in the group. By doing so, aspects of daily lives are shared, points of views may be questioned, awareness in a globalized world is created, and a process of learning from each other is set in motion. In addition, the projects also strengthen the participants' action, language and media skills.
Last year, 7,363 people in 40 countries took part in CHAT between WORLDS projects. The new flyers are designed to introduce even more school classes and experts in countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America into CHAT between WORLDS projects. The readers learn about the formats of the program and the steps of the matching process of partners.
