German stakeholders in cultural education who are interested in development policy issues and who are planning a specific non-school youth group encounter with a partner organisation in a country of the Global South can participate in the fourth network meeting global youth.culture.exchange of the BKJ. There, they can meet personally with their respective partner organisation to plan a weltwärts encounter or any another exchange project together.
The network meeting will take place from 2 to 5 September 2020 in Munich, Germany. The programme offers space to prepare joint global youth encounters in a partner tandem and as well as to deepen cooperation through personal interaction. There will also be relevant input for a weltwärts encounter, with a focus on ways to engage with the 17 United Nations Sustainability Goals. Participants can also obtain advice on formal and organisational issues as well as on financing options.
The network meeting also offers a good opportunity for in-depth exchange and networking with other committed people who are active in the field of global youth encounters as well as in the areas of cultural education and global learning.
Registration for the network meeting takes place in tandem with a German organisation and the respective project partner from the Global South. The travel and visa costs for this are covered by the BKJ. The BKJ recommends that partner organisations make participation arrangements at this early stage, especially as the planning of the respective partner's journey from the Global South to Germany requires a little more preparation time. The registration period ends on 30 May 2020.
