Due to comprehensive advice and corresponding subsidies, the initiative supports active organisations to improve the quality and quantity of their services within the African- German Youth Initiative . The African- German Youth Initiative also provides advice to organisations that are new with regards to participating in exchanges.
Constant and close dialogue with civic stakeholders within youth exchange is an important prerequisite of our work. A noticeable requirement within the extracurricular sector has become apparent during dialogue processes in 2015. A new funding line covers this requirement and also promotes extracurricular group exchanges in the future in a targeted manner. This occurs in the test phase, especially with the African pilot countries within the African- German Youth Initiative.
In addition, the initiative is also committed to measures in development policy where the focus lies on exchanges with African countries. One example is ASA-Kaleidoskop, which brought together young African start-ups with German partners in autumn 2015.
